Personal Training Testimonial
As I was turning 65 I realized that what I wanted most for my future was good health and an ability to hike, play on the floor with grandchildren, and to participate actively in life. I was walking regularly but had not worked on flexibility or strength. I have had Fibromyalgia for 30 years and this lived with rather constant muscle pain.
I asked my daughter, who is a physical therapist, to accompany me to gyms in the area to help me evaluate which ine would best serve my needs. HANDS DOWN, Kathy’s Health Club was the obvious choice and I have not regretted this decision for one day. From the friendly staff behind the counter to the equipment and class offerings, I felt at home immediately. Having a gym that was more focused on your fitness goals rather than the outfits you were wearing was quite a pleasant experience. I liked working out with young women and those who are nearly 80. I am encouraged and inspired by them all!
I started out with Sue Ann, Personal Trainer, who was fabulous in helping me build an exercise program which would not overdo muscles which had been neglected for some years.
What I have gravitated to is the wonderful daily classes offered at Kathy’s Health Club. When I am in town, I take advantage of 5 classes a week. Most of the classes (Pilates and Scupting) are taught by the incredible Robin. She guides and demonstrates how you can build key core strength and also shares why building up these muscles and joints will serve us well as we age. I also absolutely love the Line Dancing and the Gentle Gym which also incorporates a lot of dance. I love that music and dancing is enjoyable way for me to exercise. I was thrilled at the recent convention when they began to play some line dancing and I was able to join the young folks, rather than watch with envy. Those watching gave me quite an ovation.
After just one year, I feel much better physically and am more determined than ever to remain as limber and strong as I can. I have sadly observed too many friends give up activities that they have loved because they no longer have the stamina/health to do them.
I have brought 3 new friends to join the gym and will continue to be a strong advocate for Kathy’s Health Club. I am working nearly full time but my fitness classes are scheduled on my calendar as they have become too important to simply do when I “have the time”
Thank You to a Great Staff!!!
